Our director of football insists the 18-year-old, a regular in our reserves of late, has 'ability' and a 'very good attitude'.
'Jacko' is expected to be part of the England Under-18 line-up taking on Poland in a crucial European Championship qualifying match, first leg, at the Lane.
David, currently in charge of first team affairs, insisted: "He's a playmaker, a similar type to Stephen Clemence, and he has ability.
"He is a left-footed player and likes to play the ball into people and get the return. He's talented, has a very good character and a very good attitude.
"I hope John does well and it's a good game at White Hart Lane. We are all looking forward to it."
