Our second string return to action on Wednesday night - for the benefit of an ex-Spur. We travel to Kingstonian's excellent Kingsmeadow Stadium for the Dave Leworthy Benefit Match (kick-off 7.45pm).
One of the most prolific strikers in non-league football, Leworthy played a handful of games at the Lane between 1984-1986 before making a switch to Oxford United.
He was later the subject of a record-breaking transfer fee between non-league clubs when Dover Athletic signed him from Farnborough Town. He also played league football for Portsmouth, Oxford United - where he won the League Cup - and Reading.
Leworthy's honours include four non-league England caps and he has represented the FA XI five times. He joined Kingstonian from Rushden & Diamonds at the beginning of season 1997-98 and promptly scored 30 goals in 45 appearances. He played a key role in the club's successive FA Trophy triumphs in 1999 and 2000.
Boss Chris Hughton will field another strong reserve line-up, with the likes of Ruel Fox, Anthony Gardner, Gary Doherty, Dave McEwen, John Piercy, Simon Davies and Luke Young all likely to be involved.
Kingstonian will hold a raffle at the game and prizes include autographed shirts from ourselves, Southampton, Middlesbrough and Kingstonian and autographed balls from Chelsea and Wimbledon.
TICKET NEWS: Fans can pay on the night. Prices: Stand L8; Terrace L6; OAPs/children L4. Further details from Kingstonian FC on 0208-547-3335.
