Darren Bent was delighted to reach the 100-goal milestone on Sunday - but admitted that was far from his mind as he celebrated against West Ham.

Darren Bent was delighted to reach the 100-goal milestone on Sunday - but admitted that was far from his mind as he celebrated against West Ham.

The striker threw himself at Alan Hutton's cross to flash a header into the top corner in injury time at the Lane to complete our 4-0 victory against West Ham.

The goal took him to the century mark in his career but Darren admitted: "To be honest, I wasn't even thinking about that when I scored.

"I was just think about being out there and scoring another goal. Obviously it's great to get to 100, it's been a long time coming! Hopefully I'll now get another 100!"

The 24-year-old scored 57 goals in 142 games for Ipswich Town and 37 in 79 matches for Charlton Athletic before joining us at the start of the season.

In fact, Darren had been on the 99-mark since Noveber 29th. "It's been frustrating with a few injuries and illness so I was glad to be back and even happier with the result," he added.
