Spurs U17s 1-0 Wimbledon

Danny Foster capped a fine display with the winning goal in Tuesday's victory against Wimbledon at Spurs Lodge.

Foster pounced on a loose ball from a corner to bury the only goal of the game after 20 minutes.

Boss Jimmy Neighbour beamed: "We deserved the win, defended very well again and Danny Foster was outstanding.

"We created two or three very good chances in the first half, didn't take them but the second half was not so good, a bit scrappy.

"We're currently second in our division but we can overtake Arsenal if we win our games in hand.

"That will be tough and we've three difficult games now against Aston Villa, Millwall and Charlton. We'll keep plugging away and what will be, will be."

Spurs U17s: Eyre, Perry (Price, 60), Dobson, Barnett, Foster, Tyrie, Noto, Black, Malcolm, Yeates, McKie. Unused subs: Watson, Rutherford, Hicks, Jenkins.
