The flying full-back conceded we weren't at our best in the first 45 minutes of the new Premier League campaign at Everton.
The team put that right there and then - dominating the second half and earning a point through Erik Lamela - before securing a deserved first win of the season back at the Lane against Palace on Saturday.
"In the first half against Everton we weren’t how we were last season and the manager told us about that at half-time and everyone saw the Tottenham of last season in the second half," reflected the England international.
"We were disappointed we didn’t win that game and we had a meeting about that last week and it’s good to see that when we have those meetings, it sinks in and we try to put it right on a Saturday.
"The win against Palace was massively important and we want to push on."
Last season, we lost our opener at United but then went on an unbeaten run of 14 games - a record for us in the Premier League - between August and December.
"Everyone remembers that fantastic run and we're all determined to go on a similar run," added Danny, now our longest-serving player having joined us in July, 2007.
