Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).

New signing Stephane Dalmat put in a solid performance against Portsmouth this afternoon in a specially-arranged private friendly at Spurs Lodge.

Playing in a central role behind the main strikers, Dalmat was neat in his play with accurate passing and looked extremely confident on the ball. He produced a number of surging runs through the Pompey defence and can be pleased with his first Spurs outing since his loan signing from Inter.

Dalmat was supported by a strong Spurs contingent in what was a fitness gaining exercise. Fredi Kanoute, OJ Mabizela, Darren Anderton and Ledley King all played against an experienced visiting side that included Teddy Sheringham and Tim Sherwood.

Patrik Berger, Steve Stone and Jason Roberts also played for Portsmouth, who won 3-2. Lee Barnard and Johnnie Jackson were the Spurs scorers.
