The French midfielder followed Helder Postiga's midweek example in scoring his first for the club, a rasping, rising drive into the top right hand corner of the net to put the seal on a convincing second win of the week.
"It was a good goal - I wanted to score for Tottenham," reacted Stephane in his improving English afterwards. "Before I haven't had too many chances for goals, but I had 15 minutes this time and I am happy with the goal," he added before swiftly dismissing the suggestion that it could have been the finest of his career.
"No, no, no - I have scored better goals in Italy. This goal was very beautiful, but I have scored better. There was the possibility of a shot and I took the ball well.
"This was a good win and an important win because after this we have two games that will be more difficult - Newcastle and Manchester United."
Stephane Dalmat was delighted to register his first goal for Spurs against Wolves on Saturday, but claims the scorching late effort is not the best he's scored.
