Dalmat at the double

Posted on 8 January 2004  - 12:00

Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).

Stephane Dalmat quickly deflected attention away from himself following his stunning performance in the 4-1 triumph over Birmingham City.

The French midfielder showed the way with two first half goals, his now customary array of tricks and a direct assist for Robbie Keane's second half strike.

The on loan star is quickly making himself a favourite with the fans, but the man himself is far more concerned with the whole team, our league position and Saturday's trip to Leeds.

"I am very happy, but it was very important to win because we have had complications in the league and I am very happy with this result.

"Now it is more important to win at Leeds, to get another victory would be very good."

Trying once again to get Stephane commenting on his own contribution to the successive wins of the last five days certainly proved a tricky one.

"For me it is just important that the team wins. After, if I have played very well or no good, it is not so important. Tottenham winning is all that matters to me.

"I am very happy with how things are going for me here, I have had a problem with my back, but that is okay."
