Harry Redknapp has pencilled in Michael Dawson for a return to action against Cheltenham on Saturday.
The defender has been out with an Achilles problem since August.
He returned to training last week and was back on the bench for Saturday’s Premier League draw at Swansea.
“Michael will play on Saturday,” said Harry. “It will be his first game back. Hopefully he’ll be fit.
“We were struggling for cover at Swansea. He’d only trained once but he put himself up for the bench, that’s typical of him. He’s a fantastic lad.”
Harry also said Aaron Lennon could return from the hamstring injury he suffered against Sunderland on December 18.
“Aaron could be fit. He’s training and we’d like to get a game into him if we can.”
