As our picture below shows, the Belgian midfielder has a hefty strapping protecting the injury he suffered at the Kassam Stadium nearly three weeks ago.
"It's better now, I can jog and maybe next week I can play with the ball, but not with the team," reported Jonathan.
"It was broken and I've stay with this for three weeks - next week I hope the doctor will take it off. I hope so because when it is off I can train in the gym."
Remarkably, after a short period of treatment, Jonathan returned to the field and continued his starring role in the game. He hopes that another opportunity to impress at senior level will come along again when he is fully recovered.
"Sure, I hurt my finger, but I played well in the first half and when you play with the first team you want to play all the game.
"I've had no luck with this, I had a good game against Oxford and then I can't train for three week.
"I hope to have another chance to play for the first team in the future."
Jonathan Blondel hopes to have the pin removed next week from the broken finger he sustained in the pre-season friendly at Oxford.
