The domestic form of some clubs in recent years has suffered as a result of taking on the European challenge, but next season we will once again hopefully be making good use of our passports when the team have another crack at securing UEFA Cup success.
"That is a credit to the squad," said the central defender. "Tottenham haven't been in Europe for two seasons running since the eighties when I was about two years old! We've done well and next year hopefully we can go one better and win something.
"That is our aim, we want to finish in Europe every season, but we want to win things. We are certainly capable of it."
