Mauricio Taricco insists that England possess the qualities within the team to win Euro 2004.
The left-back usually concentrates his interest in European tournaments on his father's homeland Italy but, this time around, put in more than a good word for the country where he plays his game and says England have the tools to succeed.
"I think they can, there are players here with great qualities," previewed Tano. "It is just a matter of putting it together and having the time to get the mix right.
"Hopefully the key players will have no injury problems. There is no doubt that the quality is there to come together and make a great team.
"I hope England will have a good run, it will be good for the country if they can go all the way."
Of the other nations, Mauricio suspects the hosts might have a strong tournament, but admits the competition is hard to call.
"I think Portugal might have a good one, but I'm not sure. I suppose France will be favourites for most people, but I don't know and will be watching with interest."
