Cottage sigh for Santini

Posted on 30 October 2004  - 12:00

Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).

Jacques Santini spoke of his disappointment after Saturday's 2-0 Premiership defeat at the hands of Fulham.

A goal in each half did the damage with Luis Boa Morte and Andy Cole inflicting our third successive league defeat.

So it wasn't the best of afternoon's at the Cottage - not least for the return ex-Fulham midfielder Sean Davis.

"We are always disappointed to lose and this is a bad result for us," said Head Coach Jacques afterwards.

"It means it is three games with a defeat in the championship but this is a difficult moment for the team because we have three or four players injured and another suspended.

"I think the team is also very tired because the same players have played throughout the championship and played for their national teams. The same players have played game after game.

"I am not disappointed with the spirit of my players but that wasn't enough to get a result."
