The right-back once again completed the full 90 minutes but Carlos Bacca’s bundled-home effort just after the half-hour mark was enough to win it for Colombia in Glendale, Arizona.

Bobby Wood did hit the woodwork for the States in the second half, but it wasn’t to be for Jurgen Klinsmann’s charges.

The Copa America Final takes place tonight (1am Monday UK time) with Erik Lamela’s Argentina taking on reigning tournament champions Chile.
