The German midfielder was on target as we toppled Anji 4-1 in the Europa League on Thursday night.
That result made it six wins out of six in Group K – we’re one of only four teams to achieve that feat in the Europa League.
We now return to Premier League action on home soil after back-to-back away wins – and with the chance to go level on points with the Reds, who dropped from second to fifth after Saturday's results.
“It will be a tough game, they are a strong side and come here with lots of confidence, but we have gained lots of confidence as well in the last four games,” said Lewis.
“We have a home game so we’ll play our game, our style, attacking football and look to create a lot of chances. After City, we’ve bounced back and our prospects are very high.”
Lewis hammered home a spectacular winner at Fulham on December 4 and we followed up with a 2-1 success at Sunderland on Saturday.
He was there again with a fine finish against Anji – but was more interested in Roberto Soldado’s hat-trick.
“I’m delighted to score again, it was a comfortable win and to score four goals in a game was good for us,” he added. “It was great for Robbie, especially.
“Team spirit is very high and the group is close together. Robbie came in from Valencia, it didn’t go how he wanted it to at the start but with those three goals, I hope that gives him a real boost.”
