Concerns for Pleat

Posted on 28 March 2004  - 12:00

Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).

David Pleat has injury concerns following the defeat to Southampton at St Mary's on Saturday.

After replacing Johnnie Jackson with Jamie Redknapp at the break, the acting boss then lost Christian Ziege with a groin injury and reported afterwards that both Ledley King and Gary Doherty were struggling.

"We had to change things at half-time," reflected David. "Also, Gary Doherty was struggling with a stomach complaint in the second period, but managed to keep going.

"Ledley King was feeling his hamstring when I took Brown off and came to the touchline, but he carried on the last 15 minutes. Christian Ziege had to come off with a groin problem.

"Having made the change at half-time with Redknapp we were running out of options."
