Our reserve team boss was suitably impressed by the Sky Blues in what was a tough looking fixture that City won 2-1 with goals from Dele Adebola and Andy Morrell - a third in three games for the latter.
"They won the game at Reading which is a difficult place to go and win," reported Colin.
"The second-half, in particular, they played really well, looked dangerous and deserved to win the game. They scored one in that period, but had two or three other chances that, on another day, might have gone in.
"They were impressive and it will be a difficult game. They certainly try and move the ball on the floor and have a lot of players who you would term has having a good technique. That is very much the style, although Adebola up front gives them a bit of size and presence.
"The majority of their game is based on having ball, passing and making angles for each other."
So who are the players to look out for on Wednesday night?
"Adebola has got a bit of pace, Patrick Suffo who played in midfield, Steve Staunton - with his experience - and Mo Konjic at the back. They have a bit of experience in there and are well drilled and organised."
Colin Calderwood ran the rule over Carling Cup opponents Coventry City on Saturday and saw them record their second win of the season over Reading at the Madejski Stadium.
