The lads kick-off their competitive season before the start of the Premiership at Leicester City on Tuesday August 12 and face eight fixtures before the end of September.
In a tough start, four games in the first five are away from home including trips to Arsenal and Chelsea.
But boss Colin is relishing the prospect. "We've ended up with four away games but it doesn't matter really. Our advantage is that we've a lot of matches early in the season without any real break in August or September so the pitches should be in good condition.
"I would rather start like that with a number of games rather than one game, a break, another game, a break - this should give us some consistency.
"We've also got a league game in before the start of the Premiership season and that was a deliberate ploy just in case lads need a proper game before the start of the season.
"It's a little more meaningful, more competitive and the fact it's at Leicester means it will be at a nice ground, great facilities and ideal if the manager wants to give someone 60 or 90 minutes."
