Colin aims to bounce back

Posted on 27 November 2002  - 12:00

Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).

Colin Calderwood is determined for his reserve side to bounce back from defeat last time out at Ipswich Town tonight.

A bright start and some of the best football played at reserve level this season turned gloomy in the fog against Charlton 10 days ago as we squandered a 2-0 lead to lose 3-2.

Now Colin takes a strong team to Portman Road. "We've got a good team out, so have they by the look of it and we're looking forward to it.

"Obviously it was disappointing to lose against Charlton, especially after the start we made. We've to go out and produce that football for longer than 45 minutes."

Mauricio Taricco will make his comeback for the reserves in familiar surroundings.

The full-back has been sidelined by a groin problem since our win at Blackburn Rovers in early October but returns to action against his former club.

Mauricio joins another star-studded cast with Chris Perry, Ben Thatcher, Steve Clemence, Jonathan Blondel, Les Ferdinand and Sergei Rebrov all scheduled to start.

Town will also field a strong team with the likes of Andy Marshall, Mark Venus, Richard Naylor, Martjin Reuser, Finidi George and Pablo Counago - regulars for the Suffolk outfit in the Premiership - all in the squad.

The game kicks-off at 7pm.

Spurs squad: Hirschfeld, Marney, Perry, O'Donoghue, Thatcher, Taricco, Ricketts, Clemence, Blondel, Ferdinand, Rebrov, S Kelly, Burch, Bortolozzo, Galbraith, Snee.
