Clive Allen says he's loved every second of his time with our reserve team this season.
The legendary striker returned to the club in a coaching capacity in October following Colin Calderwood's departure for Northampton Town.
He presided over a run of just three defeats in our last 16 FA Premier Reserve League fixtures and, more importantly, the of youngsters into the fold including the likes of Under-17 Academy players Phil Ifil, Charlie Daniels, Mark Wright and Jamie O'Hara.
"Things take time and it's an old adage that you need time to change things around and perhaps the mentaility of people in terms of understanding what we are looking for," reflected Clive.
"I think we've made progress and I'm pleased with that.
"I've thoroughly enjoyed the experience and I've told the lads that, every second of it has been an experience that I've enjoyed.
"I just love the game of football and to be involved at this football club has been a real honour for me. I'm disappointed the season has come to an end!"
