It was a good finish to the season with wins over Blackburn and Wolves. However, we are certainly not forgetting about the fact that is has been a disappointing end overall to the season, but what was firmly entrenched in our minds was the way we finished last season at home.
It was a very disappointing way to finish against Blackburn last time in front of our own crowd with a bad result.
We have clawed a touch back in our last two games with wins and a couple of clean sheets. Probably the real plus in the final game at Wolves was the introduction of another new face in Mark Yeates, who did very well and will certainly give him confidence coming back in pre-season.
We wanted to finish well and we were able to do so. We'll always start the season with optimism because of the status of the club and the players we've got here but, I must admit last season, there was a sour taste with the way we finished and the start wasn't good either.
The club are hoping for different next season.
