It was a very good result for us in the game against Newcastle. It was perhaps difficult to how everybody thought it was going to be, with the way we lined up with Robbie playing behind the front two and Newcastle's very offensive attacking manner and style.
I think people thought it could have been a game with quite a few goals but, we have been saying for a little while now, that we would settle for a 1-0 win - and this one we will certainly settle for.
It was good for us to get a clean sheet, although there wasn't much in the way of clear cut chances for either side. They had a fair amount of the ball in the second half and forced us back with quite a few corners, but there weren't many chances.
Fredi put over some excellent crosses and perhaps we could have done with him on the end of them. It is an area that we looked at as, when you've got someone as big and prolific around the goal as Fredi, then you want him around the six yard box.
But that is Fredi for you, he does have other parts to his game and is not just someone who is a threat inside the box. He has this wonderful running style, is able to go past players in wide positions and, as we have already seen, is able to shoot from outside the area.
It was a different shape, playing Robbie behind the front two, and fortunately we got something out of the game in the end. From our point of view, the fact that it is the first time we've played it, we would want to fine tune it and the shape, no disrespect, would possibly be a little bit more rewarding against not such a good side as Newcastle.
We certainly feel we got something out of playing it, but we can get better.
