• Development is already bringing huge benefits to local people and the area’s economy
• In excess of  3,700 jobs are expected to be supported by the scheme once complete

The Club is delighted to announce the delivery of the 1,000th new job as our new stadium scheme kick-starts the regeneration of the area.

Since 2013 the Club has worked in partnership with Haringey Council and the Department for Work and Pensions to ensure as many jobs as possible emerging from the development have gone to local residents.

To date, the partnership has successfully engaged with employers to ensure job vacancies are open to local people and has actively worked with individuals across the community to help with CVs, support the application process and provide access to training and employment opportunities.

In addition, thousands of other employment opportunities have been made available via Jobs Fairs and other activities led and hosted by the Tottenham Hotspur Foundation.

As a result, 1,000 new jobs have been delivered across a range of industries involved in the Club’s investment into the regeneration of Tottenham – including construction, IT, hospitality, retail and sport.

When complete, the Club’s new stadium development will support more than 3,700 jobs, with £293million pumped into the local economy each year – an enormous impact for an area in real need of new jobs and increased economic activity.

Daniel Levy, Chairman, Tottenham Hotspur, said: “This significant milestone is yet another example of how our new stadium development scheme is driving employment within our local community and leading the regeneration of Tottenham.

“Creating opportunities for residents living on our doorstep is fundamental to what we are aiming to achieve through this project and the hard work does not stop here.

“Just this week, we held a construction Jobs Fair for Veterans of our Armed Forces and this level of outreach will continue over the coming years as we strive to ensure employment opportunities are being delivered to local people.”
