Club celebrates charity partnership at north London derby
Fri 09 February 2018, 15:00|Tottenham Hotspur
At tomorrow’s north London derby, Tottenham Hotspur will celebrate its Official Charity Partnership with Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospice.
Noah’s Ark currently provide ‘Hospice at Home’ service across North London supporting children and young people with life-limiting or life-threatening conditions and their families. Through their ‘Building The Ark’ campaign, the charity is raising funds to construct north and central London’s only children’s hospice building - The Ark.
Volunteers will be holding a collection around Wembley stadium and Noah’s Ark Chief Executive, Ru Watkins, Specialist Carer Luke Dart and Club Ambassador Gary Mabbutt will be speaking at half-time about the work the charity does.
Pre-match, our players will warm-up in special edition t-shirts and the much-loved Chirpy and Lily will be joined on the pitch by Noah’s Ark mascots, Henry and Harriet.
Our two-year partnership with Noah’s Ark sees the Club help raise awareness of the work of the charity and drive the recruitment of volunteers from our local community.
Amongst those taking part in tomorrow’s collection will be volunteers from the Club’s local community recruited by the Tottenham Hotspur Foundation as part of its work to equip young people with the skills needed for employment.
