Mounir was sidelined with a dislocated shoulder, which required an operation, sustained while out on loan at Derby County. It meant a three-month absence for the 21-year-old, but the striker was a bustling presence again at Motspur Park in what resulted in a 4-0 win.
"I thought he did well and has worked very hard," commented Clive later. "He certainly worked hard getting fit again and it was a frustrating injury for him.
"Towards the end he tired and we really didn't want to take any chances with him because the conditions were very icy and we wanted to avoid a silly slip.
"It is fantastic to see him back and he is looking very strong."
Andy, who has missed a month after suffering medial ligament damage up at Middlesbrough in December, completed 90 minutes and was instrumental in the two second half goals.
"He was involved and he showed the quality he possesses with his range of passing," added the Development Coach. "The more ball we got to him I thought the more productive we were as a team."
Clive Allen was happy with the contribution from Mounir El-Hamdaoui and Andy Reid following the pair's return from injury for the reserves against Fulham on Tuesday.
