The midfielder will line-up in the FA Premier Reserve League South encounter against the Hammers at Stevenage Borough FC, kick-off 7pm.
Development coach Clive believes the midfielder will want to put on a show in his first competitive match for Spurs.
"It's ironic it's against his old club," said Clive. "I know speaking to him before the game that it will be an interesting one playing against quite a few of his friends, let alone old team-mates, but he's a good professional and he'll want to put on a performance.
"It's also interesting from our fans point of view to see him play in a white shirt for the first time and against West Ham.
"It's a game to look forward to and a big game whatever teams are playing - first team, reserves or youths. I'm looking forward to it, the first home game of the season and hoping we can put a good performance together after a solid opener at Fulham.
"We've a strong side out and a few of the boys haven't played a competitive game so it will be important for them."
The irony of Michael Carrick facing his old club West Ham on his debut for our reserves tonight hasn't been lost on Clive Allen.
