Clive marks up Yeatesy

Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).

Clive Allen has few doubts about Mark Yeates' ability to impress at the highest level.

Our Development Coach says it's all about consistency - something the young Irish star has produced in recent weeks.

Mark's performances of late earned him a call to the substitutes' bench in last weekend's win at Manchester City.

He's determined to stay in the picture and, as Clive underlines, he will only help his cause if he continues to play as well for the reserves as he did at West Ham on Tuesday night.

The Irish Under-21 forward curled home the first goal from 20 yards before creating the second for Jamie Slabber in the 2-2 draw at Upton Park.

Clive said: "Martin was there to watch him at West Ham and he just needs to keep performing the way he has been.

"He was involved with the first team on Saturday and if he keeps the consistency in his game at the highest level there is no reason why he shouldn't be involved again.

"I'm sure his performance at West Ham would have only impressed Martin."
