Clive Allen couldn't speak highly enough of his reserve team after the win at Norwich City on Wednesday.
Simon Davies and Lee Barnard - his 10th in 12 games - bagged the goals as we dominated against a Canaries side that started with seven players who have featured in the Premier League this season.
We had to recover from the early departure of Dean Richards but youngster Charlie Lee impressed again as Nicky Eyre was tested rarely and only from distance.
"It was a good game to be playing in," said coach Clive. "It was a good test of individuals and of the team.
"I thought it was an excellent team performance with a lot of individuals showing what they are capable of.
"We kept the ball well and it was a professional performance, Nicky Eyre only had a couple of saves from distance and that's credit to the back four and the shape in midfield."
