The club announced the signing of the young forward from Lyon - subject to international clearance and the player receiving a work permit - on Saturday.
Clinton’s performances either as a centre-forward or off either flank in Ligue 1 and on the international stage with Cameroon have caught the eye.
Now he’d love to repay the faith the club has shown in him through his displays in a Spurs shirt.

“I‘m very happy to join Tottenham, such a big club in England,” said Clinton, nicknamed ‘Clint’, who turned 22 today (Saturday, August 15).
“I’m still young, still growing up and it’s a big challenge - the Premier League is one of the biggest leagues in the world.
“The club is ambitious and I’m ready to give my best to help the club achieve its aims.
“Like I said, I’m still learning and I’m here to give my best. I just hope I get the chance to give (back) to the club what they are giving to me.”

Clinton’s footballing journey has taken him from the small town of Buea in Cameroon to London via Lyon in France - all by the age of 22!
“I’ve always loved playing football and it’s always been my dream to play professional football so when I had my chance, I had to grab it,” he said.
And there’s a familiar face here - a certain Hugo Lloris.
Hugo was at Lyon between 2008-2012 and Clinton remembers the French national captain as a key figure during the year they had together before Hugo joined Spurs.
“He is a very nice person and a good captain. He has his fighting spirit and his winning spirit and helps the younger players. He is a good leader.”
