Clem can't wait

Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).

Stephen Clemence can't wait for next season - to erase the painful memories of last term.

The midfielder suffered a knee ligament injury in only our third match at Blackburn Rovers in August and following surgery and groin trouble, didn't return until our win against Leeds in April - missing 40 games in total.

He insists his unwanted break has made him appreciate the game even more and is sure he'll come back all the stronger for the experience.

"I can't wait for it all to start to be honest," said Steve. "I'm looking forward to a much better season but it couldn't be much worse.

"Every player goes through an injury spell like that at some stage and hopefully I'll come back stronger for it.

"I'm sure it makes you a stronger person and it makes you appreciate playing football even more.

"It's a career you love so much and it makes it all the more sweeter after being out for so long.

"I watched the matches but didn't enjoy it as much. All the time you're thinking you just want to be out there.

"It was a tough time but there were a few lads in the same position and we all helped each other through it."
