From the picture, you can see a wide smile I shared with Les. It was taken when I saw him at a sports cafe in London during my honeymoon in October '98.
It all happened when my wife and I walked past the cafe and saw a very familiar face having a pool-game. I stopped for a second look but still could not confirm if it was really the 'Great Les'. I was looking at until a stranger walked towards me and said: "It's him! I just got an autograph signed".
Without a second thought, I pulled my wife into the cafe and approached him. I asked if I can have a photo taken with him and to my surprise, Les is a very humble and friendly guy.
He agreed right away. I immediately passed my camera to my wife and there I was, striking a pose with one of the best footballers in the world.
After we had the photo taken, Les even offered me to a plate of chicken-wings on his table.
London was the third destination in my honeymoon after Switzerland and France, but the brief moment I had with Les was the most memorable one throughout my honeymoon.
Thanks Les! For the great time I had and good luck in your footballing career.
