When David Ginola started to play for Spurs he moved in round the corner from me in the same road as friends of mine. One of my friends used to babysit for him and he used to shop in the same Waitrose as me up the road.
One Saturday my dad had just gone up the road to buy some drinks and I was doing some homework when I got a phone call. It was my very excited father to tell me that Ginola was shopping and he just bumped into his trolley.
I ran up to Waitrose to see my dad standing in a queue next to Ginola and I couldn't believe it - he looked just like he'd steped out of a Loreal advert!
We waited until he had paid and then I approached him and asked if I could help him with his shopping, including a French Baguette.
He refused my offer, however, gave me his autograph and a kiss on the cheek!
My mum was so jealous!!
