We take on the reigning Premier League champions in a 4pm kick-off in N17.
“They’ve had a tricky run but they have so many quality players, they could click and beat anyone at anytime,” stated the midfielder. “Teams like City bounce back.”
Manuel Pellegrini’s men have just done that in recent weeks.
After a run of three defeats in four that all-but ended hopes of defending their title, City have registered back-to-back wins against West Ham and Villa and are back in second spot.
“We have to make sure we’re ready for this game and we need to show our fans what we’re about, especially after what happened against Villa last time we played at home,” added Nabil, who told us earlier in the week that the players are determined to put on a show for the fans.
We’ve also a point to prove after recent losses against City and the players would love to put right a 4-1 reverse at the Etihad earlier in the season, where we pushed City all the way and were right in the game at 2-1 before a penalty, sending off and two late goals saw the Sky Blues home.
“I was injured when we played that game but I know we played well that day, even though we lost 4-1,” added Nabil. “Hopefully this game will be ours.”
