The defender was central to an incident-packed game - his Premier League debut - when we travelled to the Etihad in October.
City led 2-1 at the break but the destiny of the points was decided in a 10-minute spell midway through the second half.
Roberto Soldado missed a penalty and was then denied point-blank by Joe Hart. Two minutes later, Federico fouled Aguero and was sent off, Aguero scored the penalty for 3-1 and then wrapped it up with his fourth of the game.
“We have to forget about what happened in Manchester, it’s long gone,” said Federico ahead of Sunday’s 4pm kick-off at the Lane.
“This is another game although we can take positives from Manchester because there were moments when we were right in the game.
“Now we focus on Sunday, to press City, to push them and to fight for the three points.
“We’re playing in front of our fans and their support helps us. We have beaten Arsenal, Chelsea and drawn against Manchester United at home and we need our fans again. We want to finish well.”
The game sees a fascinating duel between Harry Kane and Aguero with the strikers on 20 and 21 goals respectively in the Premier League.
However, Federico was quick to point out that it’s not just Aguero carrying a threat for the visitors. “I know him well but it’s not just about Aguero, City have many good players,” he added.
"Aguero is in a good moment but it's about our team and how we play. If we can get good possession of the ball and concentrate I think we have the chance to win this game.”
