The midfielder played a key role in the win with his equalising goal just before half-time cancelling out Kevin De Bruyne's opener.
We then bossed the second half and goals from Toby Alderweireld, Harry Kane and Erik Lamela saw us home in spectacular style.
After talking about the game and the goal, Eric told us that he felt the team proved a few people wrong.
"We don’t get the credit we deserve," said Eric, who has started in the holding role in all eight matches this season. "We’re an extremely young squad and I hear people say stuff about Tottenham and I don’t like it. I don’t think the other lads like it either. Today we’ve proved lots of people wrong."

Asked what he was referring to, Eric added: "Things like we choke against the big teams, that we never put our foot in and we can’t grind out results. In the last couple of weeks we’ve proved them wrong."
Eric clinically drilled home from fully 30 yards for the leveller in the 45th minute.
"We needed something and to get it just before half-time was ideal," said Eric, before admitting he wasn't initially thinking about taking the shot on.
"My first thought was that I wasn’t going to let that ball go past me! I was more worried about them having another counter-attack. I then realised I had more time than I thought so I just hit it and thankfully it went in.
"We all went into the dressing room with a good feeling to take into the second half. That showed when we came out for the second half. We took it up a gear, the crowd got behind us and it was great.
"We’ve been working really hard and the last few results - apart from Arsenal - have been really good and we’ve been playing well, so everyone is really happy."
