The lads popped into local hospitals on Monday to visit some local children who will be in hospital over Christmas.

The squad visited four nearby hospitals in North London - Chase Farm Hospital in Enfield, Whipps Cross, Barnet General and the North Middlesex in Edmonton to see young football fans and to deliver presents.

Chris Hughton said: "To have a child in hospital over Christmas is never easy but it is a pleasure to bring a little bit of cheer to the ward. Many of the players have young children and we have over 10,000 Junior Spurs Members and it means a lot to us as a Club to try and make children happy."

A special mention must go as well to 82-year old Len Whiter, founder of the Tottenham Hotspur Eastbourne Supporters Club who visited the Club last week to make his annual donation for presents.

The presents are all purchased with donations from the players themselves and the squad was only too happy to chat and pose for photographs for the mums and dads as well as the young patients. The boys took time to see everyone in each ward and even Chirpy and Santa got involved too. Some of the children were asleep as the players came past so they just left presents for them at the door. The question is, will they believe it when they wake up?
