England's number one was determined to show his appreciation for the fans' support in what was our last home game before Christmas - next up at the Lane is Birmingham City on Boxing Day.
"It was my way of saying thanks to the fans for the support they've given me," said Robbo. "I wanted to give them something back before Christmas so I went out and bought the balls, blew them all up at home myself and signed them.
"I'm sorry it could only be 24 but I would have been there all night!
"The fans have been great and as I've said before, that support means a lot to me and all the players."
Paul Robinson said an early Christmas 'thank-you' to the Park Lane faithful after last night's win against Portsmouth. On the final whistle, Robbo did his impression of Father Christmas by emptying two sacks full of footballs that he had bought and signed and duly booting them into the delighted crowd!
