Good displays against Everton, Chelsea and Liverpool on Saturday have frustratingly yielded just one point out of a possible nine.
Glenn Hoddle admitted it 'hurt' him to lose at Anfield, despite taking positives from playing well, and Christian agrees that it's time to take our game to the next level.
Christian explained: "First you have to try and play and we've done that. We are a good team and try to play football. We have to play the same and next time hope we score the goals.
"You can't say after the last few seasons where the club has finished in mid-table that everything is going to be right from the start.
"We played well but we didn't win and didn't get a point. We now have to take our chances and get the results.
"I felt we played a terrific game at Liverpool but we have zero points and nothing to take away, that was very disappointing.
"We have to be careful. It is no good being in a team that plays well but is always losing. That is important."
As for returning to Anfield, Christian commented: "I was at Liverpool for a season and it was nice to come back to a place where you know everything and everybody. But then it's a game. Just because I played here is nothing different to anyone else involved."
Christian Ziege says it's about time we started reaping some reward from our impressive performances.
