The Danish midfielder was a huge draw for our fans in Kuala Lumpur and Sydney and started both AIA Cup matches – a 2-1 win against Malaysia XI and 1-0 victory over Sydney FC.
Our welcome from Malaysia Spurs at the team’s hotel set the tone for a Tour to remember, culminating with 70,000 fans at the ANZ Stadium on Saturday.
The sight of so many Spurs fans on the other side of the world certainly struck a chord.
“It’s so impressive so many fans turned up,” said Christian. “I heard fans were flying in from all over Australia and other countries too which is important for us and shows how much they love Tottenham.
"We had some time in Sydney to go out and see the city and it’s really, really nice and seeing so many people in Spurs shirts when you’re walking around was incredible.
“Everyone is really happy that we’ve such a big fan base - so many people turning up for a friendly says such a lot. It’s been a very busy schedule but this Tour has been a great finish to the season.”
