It was originally thought that Christian was struggling with a calf strain, but the root of the problem was in his back. He returned to Spurs Lodge today, went straight into training and reports no further problems.
"It seems to me, at the moment, that it is really good," smiled the German wing-back. "I trained today with no pain at all.
"Last week I couldn't really move because of my back. It came out with the calf injury but it was my back.
"I'm thankful to the manager that he let me travel to Germany to see my doctor. He fixed it and I hope that I can help the team now."
Middlesbrough on Saturday?
"I hope so, it should be alright."
Christian Ziege has returned from Germany following treatment on his back and hopes to be available for the visit of his former club Middlesbrough on Saturday.
