Chris Hughton describes Saturday's opponents Blackburn as a side that possess 'an abundance of ability'.
The first team coach knows that it would be folly to take any notice of Blackburn's current position in the Premiership table - they sit one off the bottom three - and insists the boys will have to be on top of their game if we are to secure reward from the trip to Ewood Park.
"They are a club that has obviously had difficult times this season, but one that possesses an abundance of ability," considered Chris.
"They are formidable opponents on their own pitch and, again, it is one we know we'll have to play well in to get something out of the game.
"From our side though, we've done quite well away from home in our last three outings - although we lost at Arsenal."
Blackburn's fortunes this season as opposed to last - where they achieved a UEFA Cup berth - is, Chris reasons, a fluctuation that could be suffered by any team outside the bottom three that have yet to find sustained consistency.
"At the moment you've got the three top teams who are the most consistent and look like they are going to win almost every week.
"Outside of that we can all fluctuate up and down depending on performance. It just goes to show you how strong this Premiership is, Blackburn looked so strong last season and are capable of being so again.
"They've just had a difficult period and have the quality to get out of that."
