You have to go back to December 5 for the reserves’ last competitive outing in the FA Premier Reserve League.
Since then Chris’s men have been denied by the weather on two occasions and have only played two friendlies in seven weeks.
Chris admitted: “It has been frustrating, not only for myself but for the players who want to play games.
“You can train as hard as you want for as many days as you want but there is nothing to compare with games.
“Fortunately we’ve managed to play a couple of friendlies in-between, one before Christmas then at Charlton, but that is just two friendlies in that period of time.”
Chelsea are currently top of the FA Premier Reserve League and include our scalp at White Hart Lane as one of their wins so far.
That was back in September and Chris insisted: “It was a game that we did enough not to lose and perhaps we should have gone on to win.
“But every Chelsea side you come up against is going to be a very good side.
“We talk about the league not making so much of a difference but they are at the top and certainly earlier in the season they were putting out very strong sides. Whether that is still the case we’ll wait and see.”
