Chelsea v Spurs (FA Cup semi-final) - important Wembley information for fans

Thu 20 April 2017, 11:00|Tottenham Hotspur

Ahead of this weekend's FA Cup semi-final against Chelsea, we have been asked by Wembley National Stadium Limited (WNSL) and the Metropolitan Police to pass on the following information to our supporters.

SECURITY AND SEARCHES

There will be a full search programme in place at Wembley Stadium connected by EE on Saturday. The process could take longer this weekend due to the large volume of fans attending so please arrive early to ensure you do not miss the start of the game.

The Metropolitan Police has also advised us to remind supporters that flares and smoke devices are strictly prohibited and anyone found in possession of anything of this nature will be arrested and face a police banning order.

As always if you spot anything suspicious in and around Wembley please do not hesitate to report this to either a steward or police officer. Anything that is highlighted in good faith will never be criticised.

FLAGS

Wembley's safety team has advised us that flags must not exceed 2.5 metres and must meet the required fire safety standards. If you wish to bring a flag then please ensure you carry the appropriate certificates with you in case they are required for entry.

DRINKING AT WEMBLEY

A full list of those pubs allocated to Spurs at Wembley for the semi-final can be found on the iSpurs page HERE...

Anybody suspected of being drunk will be refused entry to the stadium so please drink responsibly.

ARRIVE EARLY!

Our supporters will be based in the East end of the stadium with access via the following turnstiles:
Level 1 - B / C / F / G
Level 5 - A / D / E

Turnstiles will open for entry from 3.15pm.

Please arrive as early as possible to allow for enhanced security checks, as mentioned above.

TICKET TOUTS

The Metropolitan Police is aware that ticket touts operate in the area around the stadium. Please do not purchase tickets from any touts particularly as you run a high risk of receiving a forgery.

Wembley Stadium will not facilitate any supporters who have bought tickets from touts and you should report anyone you suspect of tout activity to the police who shall deal with the issue accordingly.

TRAVEL

Our travel information is now available HERE. Please keep an eye across our channels for any travel information that may affect your journey to the national stadium and you can also follow @MPSFOOTBALLUNIT who will be providing updates in the build-up to the game.

MOSAIC DISPLAY

Don't forget to hold up your card!

A card will be on your seat for you to hold-up as the players enter the pitch at approx 5.11pm. Make sure you're in the stadium within plenty of time to be part of this special display!

SPURS RESPECTS

We are justly proud of our superb and loyal support at home, away, in Europe and at our matches this season at Wembley Stadium. We all have a responsibility to act as ambassadors of Tottenham Hotspur Football Club and act as considerate neighbours and visitors to those who live and work in the areas we visit.

If you witness any form of anti-social, abusive or discriminatory behaviour, crime, vandalism, violence, the use of smoke bombs or pyrotechnics at any of our matches, please let us know immediately.

You can report this via Wembley's confidential texting service at any time - text to 87474.

The Club does not tolerate discrimination of any sort, on the pitch or in the stands, and we shall also take appropriate action against anyone heard using abusive, offensive or obscene language.

The latter stages of any competition brings with it greater attention, particularly as this is a London derby, and so we once again call upon our fans to focus their energies on cheering the team on and to generate a fantastic, positive atmosphere for all this weekend.
