Fresh from winning the Premier League Reserves South title, Charlie Lee visited the White Hart Lane Community Sports Centre last week to watch the final stages of the Premier League Schools Tournament.

The young centre-half enjoyed a kickabout with the competitors and watched the final stages of the competition before presenting every competitor with a medal and a trophy for the winning school, St.Ignatious Roman Catholic School, who will go on to represent Spurs in the Regional Finals on 27th April.

Every primary school in Haringey was invited to submit a 6-a-side team for the Spurs-run competition and the top 12 schools qualified for the local finals day. Each school played each other in a group stage format and the 10-minute matches were fiercely contested as the players were urged on with great vocal support from the touchlines.

"I am very impressed with some of the skills we’ve seen this afternoon," said Charlie. "The way some of the teams are passing the ball around and moving off the ball shows a great understanding of the game - some hard tackles too!"
