Charlie Daniels confessed his relief after Andy Barcham popped up with an injury time winner against Forest in the FA Youth Cup.
The reasons were simple - the winger was guilty of a couple of misses as we dominated the second half of the third round tie at the Lane on Tuesday night.
Charlie was denied by the crossbar and then missed a header from close range but just as it looked like extra time was on the cards, Barcham struck.
"I had a couple of chances, especially when Andy cut one back and I hit the bar from about a yard," reflected Charlie.
"That's the way it goes sometimes but thankfully Barchy came up with the winner to help me out.
"It was a massive relief when we scored because we might not have made it through extra time, a couple of the lads were struggling with injuries. Thankfully it didn't come to that."
Charlie revealed that the lads had all worn suits for the occasion at the Lane and all had thoroughly enjoyed the big night atmosphere.
"It's been a brilliant experience," he added. "We came in at four o'clock, had a meal, went through the tactics, warmed up and did the business. And It was nice to see all the lads suited up!
"There was a bit of pressure because sometimes you only get one chance in the Youth Cup and we wanted to do well, especially here at White Hart Lane. We were all up for it and did well."
