Clive Allen has liked what he's seen of Charlie Lee in reserve action this season.
Our Academy centre-half - outstanding in FA Youth Cup action this campaign - was most impressive at reserve level the recent win at Norwich City where he helped keep Premier League quality in the shape of Leon McKenzie, Ryan Jarvis and Paul McVeigh quiet.
Clive said: "Charlie has showed us the potential he has at centre-half.
"He's played there in the FA Youth Cup and now up against Premier League opposition in Jarvis, McKenzie and McVeigh.
"I have to say he's one of the strongest headers of the ball in the club yet when you see him, he's five foot nine, 10, you look at him straight away as a centre-half and think he's probably too small.
"Yet he jumps as well as anyone and the thing I like about him is he wants to head it."
