The two-year charity partnership, which has already received an overwhelming response from fans, will see the Club help raise awareness of the work of the charity and drive the recruitment of volunteers via high profile events and the support of the First Team players.
Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospice provides clinical, emotional and practical care and support to children and young people with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions, with a central aim of enabling them to live life as fully as possible, regardless of cognitive or sensory ability.
The charity also provides respite and support to families, helping them to face the future with hope after bereavement.
In the past year, through ‘Hospice at Home’ and community-based services, including 102 Family Support Volunteers, Noah’s Ark has provided 7,932 hours of care and support to:
• 157 children with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions
• 267 of their siblings
• 305 of their parents
With the support of Tottenham Hotspur over the next two years, Noah’s Ark hopes to increase its care provision from 15 per cent to 50 per cent of children with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions within its catchment area of Barnet, Enfield, Haringey, Islington, Camden and Hertsmere including the recruitment of an additional 108 Family Support Volunteers and Event Support Volunteers.
Noah’s Ark also hopes to raise £3.3m for its Building the Ark Appeal, funding the construction of North London’s only children’s hospice facility.
