Players past and present were in attendance at our recently refurbished Whites Suite with manager Glenn Hoddle, his assistant John Gorman and skipper Teddy Sheringham joined by the rest of our first team squad at the packed venue.
Chairman Daniel Levy welcomed the assembly and thanked the guests for their loyal support. He also announced that former Commercial Manager Mike Rollo would soon be rejoining the club as Director of Hospitality.
Director of Football David Pleat then spoke with enthusiasm about his days in the game, and the many characters he has known, although the formalities were kept to a minimum.
Former manager and current Club President Bill Nicholson made a welcome appearance together with players from his great Double winning side right up until the present day.
The highlight of the evening was an auction for an incredible array of items that included a fantastic Thomsons Holiday for two people this summer, the first of the new Kappa shirts off the production line which will be signed by Glenn and the team and a superb day for two which involves training with the First Team at Chigwell in pre-season.
A total of £28,500 was raised for Football Aid.
Commercial Sales Manager Scot Gardiner, who ran the auction, commented: “The object of the evening was simply to get together with our Box Holders and corporate clients to thank them for their support and to show potential new associates what the Club has to offer.
“We are second to none in the Premiership in the field of corporate entertainment and it was great to have the support of Glenn and the team who were happy to chat, pose for photographs and sign autographs throughout the evening.
“In essence it was quite simply a social event but we were thrilled by the response and generosity of our guests who raised a terrific sum for a worthwhile cause at what was a highly enjoyable get-together.”
The Club staged a highly successful social evening with Box Holders and corporate guests at White Hart Lane on Thursday.
