Celebrating the Antwerp Arms

Two years ago, one of the most popular matchday pubs amongst our fans was on the verge of being sold to property developers by its freeholder at the time.

However, an overwhelming display of support from fans, local people and the Club saved the Antwerp Arms, putting the picturesque venue on Church Road into the hands of its shareholders and creating North London’s first Community Pub.

The past Bank Holiday weekend marked the first birthday of ‘The Annie’ in its current form, with a day of celebration in the sunshine attended by one of those to have bought shares in the pub to save it from closure, Gary Mabbutt.

Our legendary former captain conducted an auction amongst those in attendance of money-can’t-buy prizes, including a shirt signed by the current first team, raising £1,600 in total for the Mayor of Haringey’s nominated charity, All People All Places.
