Darren Caskey was certainly seen in the Glenn Hoddle mould when he joined Spurs as a Trainee 16 years ago.
The midfielder had just captained England Under-18s to European glory and was a major prospect that many clubs coveted.
He went on to make more than 40 appearances for us, having scored a late winner on his debut against Everton in 1993.
Darren left us three years later and went on to play for a further 13 clubs, and now coaches at non-League Halesowen Town. But he will always have a soft spot for Spurs.
"That was a good team to be around, with lots of characters, and the dressing room was always buzzing," he recalls in the current issue of hotspur magazine. "How could it not be with the likes of Teddy Sheringham, Gazza and Steve Sedgley around?!
"You'd even find yourself looking forward to training!"
